Mule: a sterile hybrid of a male ass and a female horse. Informal: a stubborn person.

Rewarding Mulish Behavior since 1849

The Renny Mules weekend exists to highlight one of the most challenging & mindbending courses in the world.
It took a true Mule to muster the inspiration and perspiration to convert a cruel tract of land and turn it into a gem.
This tournament honors the Mule-ish-ness and example set by the original mule - Mule#1.
And, it honors those who have followed in his footsteps (hoof prints?) to make mighty contributions to
the CDGC and the Charlotte disc golf scene.

EVENT DETAILS:

"Skins" is a tournament format. Each hole played gets one "skin" per
foursome. A player is awarded the skin when he scores a lower score
than anyone else on a hole. If there is a tie for low score on a hole,
there is a "push" and the skin(s) are carried over to the next hole. Then,
the next time someone scores a sole low score for a hole, that player
wins all of the accumulated skins!

Only two divisions will be offered - Pro and Am.
Am's will be awarded Merchandise Dollars. Pro's will get cash.

You will compete against only the players in your foursome.
Players will be seeded (and foursomes assembled) by finish
in Saturday's event.

Pro Division: Base-line skin value is $4. $500 (min) added cash
will be awarded as follows: ~1/3 to lead card ($12+ per skin!) and
$0 to the last card. Straight line distribution for in-between groups.
Example of Pro payout structure.

Am Division: Lead card skin value will be $8-$10. Last card value is $5.
Straight line distribution for in-between groups.
Example of Am payout structure

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

For people playing only Sunday, seeding will be determined
by PDGA rating. If that is not available, seeding will be by TD
discretion. When possible, the TD will contact players who know
the newcomer and will use their input to seed the newcomer.

In the case of the need for threesomes, these groupings will be
formed on the lower cards. Payout will remain the
same on a 'per
player basis'. Skin value will be 3/4 of a foursome. The reason for
this is that it is 25% easier to win, but there is 25% less money to
win. There is no way to pre-determine how to fairly add or subtract
money from the purse for the threesomes on the lower cards.

In the case of a push on the last hole, the foursome will keep on
playing and will follow this sudden death format: Anyone with a
score higher than the low score will be eliminated. A low single
score on any hole will win. Extra holes will not have any skin value.

Since this is a fundraiser event designed to fund even more
mule-ish course work, the ace pool if not won, will be donated
to the Charlotte Disc Golf Club. This goes for both days.
