Minutes from May 11, 2005 - CDGC Club meeting: Attendees: Bill Jacobson, Sam Nicholson, Dave Marchant, Craig W (Wit), Tripp Cole, Fred Hallaman & Hope 1) Money Bag$ update: $786 balance if all payables are paid up. 2) Courses Updates: Kilborne: Clean up and trimming needed. Need to communicate this to Barry when he gets back from AL. Reedy Creek: 3 new collars installed. Signs are getting close to having all sponsorship money raised (16-17 raised). Park & Rec will pay for a bridge get to 7 long basket. Hornet’s Nest: Stan has finalized plans with Park & Rec to get the "Stinger" layout (par 70) complete. MJ and his minions will provide manpower to haul and clear. Sugaw Creek: All 18 tee pads have been installed. Great job by all involved in this project!! Baskets to be installed in next 2-3 weeks. Tons of RoundUp needs to be sprayed on poison ivy. It’s getting close!! Price for signs is $126. Park & Rec may pay for that expense. Renaissance: It is in need of the usual monthly mowing and trimming. Park and Rec mow the accessible fairways once every 2 weeks over the growing season, but the Club needs to maintain the other areas. Tripp does a ton of work out there, but he needs to gather support for his efforts so he does not get burned out. 3) Club Weekly Singles Events: They are going very well. Great attendance. Good fundraiser. Course Directors need to help out when the events are at their courses. Money box and signup guy needs to be there at 1pm sharp. Can we move the events to Saturday PM when football season starts? Dave proposed that Club Members be able to pay their entry fee with Merch Bucks. May loose a little revenue, but that should be made up for by increased attendance. Bill opposed. Sam wanted to consider it further. "Club Champion" points series has generated at least 3-4 new members. Dave to make new laminated price list. Ironman (5/28) will conclude with a players party at Elizabeth Billiards. There will be a putting contest - $5 to enter and winner takes all! 4) NEW BUSINESS: A) Points Bonanza: Needs to get on PDGA Schedule and publicized. Dave to sanction & make flyer. Need one workday per course to prepare. B) 50 tee shirts have been bought to be sold at events. They have the club logo on the front and the course artwork from the 5 disc sets on the back. Should be hot sellers and a good fundraiser. They will sell for $12 to members, $15 to non-members. $50/60 for the set. If you want more details than this, come to the meetings! :)
